Ask Questions

 

Connect with your fans by asking for their input. Ask for their thoughts on decisions the band is making to get them involved. If you’re not sure what piece of artwork to use for an album cover, post both photos up on Facebook and ask for your fan’s opinions.

 

Using Facebook Questions is a great way to engage with your fans and gain a better understanding of what they want. Don’t forget, these are the people who support you each and every day.

 

Apps

 

Facebook apps are a great way off making your Page stand out. With thousands available for free, there’s no excuse not to have installed at least one. Soundcloud and Bandcamp both offer free apps that are great for showcasing your work, or for those that want to push their band’s marketing even further, apps can also be custom built for you to fit in with your band’s branding.

Back To Basics

 

You may well be the coolest act on the planet but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t be covering the basics. Your website, band bio and booking agent’s contact details should all be readily available for anyone to find.

 

Don’t Be A Salesman

 

Of course, you’re going to want your fans to buy your single, album, download or gig ticket but they are not going to appreciate you constantly asking them for their money. By all means, let your fans know where they can buy your new album. But remember that the same post will still be there an hour later, so posting again will be pointless.

 

Connect with your fans by answering their questions and responding to praise (and criticism). If they like you, and they like your music, they’ll make the decision to buy your products themselves.

 

Be Free
