Dawsons Auctioneers is a highly regarded auction house specialising in valuations and the auctioning of a wide range of items, including jewellery, art, antiques, and collectibles. Their focus is on providing exceptional service and maximising value for their clients. To enhance their operational efficiency and streamline their valuations pipeline, Dawsons Auctioneers sought assistance from Bozboz to onboard HubSpot Marketing Hub Pro and Sales Hub Pro.
Dawsons Auctioneers faced the challenge of optimising their valuations process and creating effective communication between their valuation specialists (valuers) and administrators. The aim was to automate the creation of deal records and assign them to specific valuations pipelines. Additionally, each deal needed to be assigned to a category specialist to minimise manual deal allocation. Forms in HubSpot are specific to contact records and not deal records, so this required us to create a number of custom deal properties to hold contact information, and the need for automations to transfer data from form submissions to the deal records. The biggest issue was that valuers wanted to view the images submitted in the form directly on the deal record for efficient appraisal, but the standard HubSpot functionality did not allow for easy image display.
To overcome the challenges faced by Dawsons Auctioneers, Bozboz proposed the development of a custom application as a solution. Initially created as a "Proof of Concept," the custom app was designed to integrate seamlessly into HubSpot and add a card within the deals window. The card listed the images associated with each deal, enabling valuers to click on individual images to view them in a new window.
Additionally, a "View all images' ' button allowed for easy access to a popup window or iframe displaying all the form submission images. While limitations in the HubSpot card API prevented embedding actual images in the cards, the custom app presented links to each image, and the "View all images'' feature provided a convenient way for admin users to scroll through all the submitted images.
Upon successful testing and approval, the custom app was set up on Bozboz servers and installed into the Dawsons Auctioneers HubSpot account. Functionality was added to parse each deal when loaded and extract the actual image information, enabling the custom app to dynamically build the card fields with the relevant image data. This implementation has significantly enhanced the valuations workflow at Dawsons Auctioneers, providing valuers with easy access to images directly within the HubSpot deal record.
The integration of the custom app into Dawsons Auctioneers' HubSpot account has supercharged their valuations process. Valuers now have a streamlined workflow, allowing them to view images without the need to navigate to contact records separately. This improved efficiency has increased confidence and adoption of the HubSpot platform within the organisation. Dawsons Auctioneers can now effectively manage their valuations pipeline, automate deal creation, and ensure automated communication between valuers and administrators.
