The Levellers are a cornerstone of the UK’s alternative music scene, known for their politically charged folk-rock and their fiercely loyal fanbase. Alongside their extensive discography and touring schedule, the band also runs Beautiful Days — an independent, family-friendly music festival held annually in Devon. They approached Bozboz to refresh their website, improve site usability, and streamline the ticketing experience for both fans and the band’s internal team.

The Levellers’ existing website was beginning to show its age. Navigation was a tad clunky, ecommerce performance needed improvement, and the Beautiful Days festival section wasn’t prominent enough - despite being a key driver of traffic and revenue. Administrative pain points, including ticket bundling and order fulfilment logistics, also needed resolving to support internal workflows and deliver a smoother customer experience.

Starting with a full audit of the current site, we identified performance bottlenecks, UX issues, and technical gaps. From there, we collaborated closely with the band and their team to prioritise improvements.
We recommended a new Shopify theme to better serve both merch and music sales, and designed a fresh homepage, product pages, and a dedicated Beautiful Days section. The new navigation structure made it easier for visitors to explore music, buy merch, and discover live shows. A key feature was the redesigned ticketing journey, which introduced multi-ticket purchases - allowing fans to bundle weekend passes with car parking or campervan permits in a single transaction.
On the backend, we introduced process improvements to streamline post-purchase messaging, fulfilment flows, and delivery options - especially for orders combining festival tickets and merchandise. These changes reduced admin for the Levellers' team and improved clarity for customers.

The site went live ahead of the Beautiful Days 2025 ticket release and delivered immediate results:
The revamped Beautiful Days section saw significantly higher engagement, and the improved navigation and checkout flows contributed to a more seamless experience for fans - and less manual handling for the Levellers’ team. The project has laid the foundation for ongoing improvements, with future phases planned to enhance the discography section, content strategy, and product merchandising.
